- Sony announced that the PS5 along with its accessories arrives on November 12
- PlayStation seemingly hinted one of the interesting features of the PS5 HD Camera
- PS5 HD Camera is available at $59.99
Sony’s PS5 HD Camera could have this interesting feature, as hinted by the official PlayStation website.
Details about the new PS5 HD camera are now available on the official PlayStation website. It turns out that like the PlayStation 4, gamers can start video capture or a live broadcast by just pushing a button. Considering that streaming is more mainstream and much bigger now, Sony would definitely do something to the PS5 so it could offer better functionality for this particular feature.
While the PS4 allows users to add users to the livestream through the PlayStation Camera, the background tools are not that impressive. “With the PS5 HD camera, you can add yourself to your gameplay videos while broadcasting in picture-in-picture mode, with the ability to crop the background or lose it completely with a green screen,” reveals the official website.
It seems like the Create Button is now going to make all of these for the user, which is far more efficient than on the PS4. More importantly, it means broadcasting oneself and gameplays on Twitch are now much easier with this Create Button. The PS5 HD camera captures 1080p video, so it is not of the top resolution compared to today’s 4K standards.
Interestingly, it features dual wide-angle lenses. This feature is not only best for achieving a wide view of the user’s surroundings from a close position but could also be utilized for depth perception, perhaps essential for the PlayStation VR headset. The PS5 HD Camera is placed on top or below the TV.
It is connected to the PS5 console and through the built-in stand. The PS5 HD Camera could be adjusted and angled to suit the user’s needs. This PS5 accessory is necessary for hardcore game streamers who like to stream their gaming activities online. However, this accessory is not a necessity for everyone else since there are no specific in-game features that (for now) that requires it.
The PS5 HD Camera will arrive alongside the PS5 gaming console on November 12. It retails at $59.99 / £49.99 / AU$99.95.
