Final Fantasy 14’s 5.4 Update Releases In Early December

Square Enix has revealed when the next big content update for Final Fantasy XIV will go live. During its latest Letter from the Producer broadcast, the publisher confirmed that Patch 5.4 for the popular MMO, titled Futures Rewritten, will release in early December, and it’ll introduce a wealth of additional content to the Shadowbringers expansion.

Among other things, Patch 5.4 will add new main story quests. As Square Enix describes, “Following the grand conclusion of the Shadowbringers story in Patch 5.3, players will set out on a new adventure” in the December update. The patch will also introduce the third installment in the Eden raid series, as well as the next chapter in the Sorrow of Werlyt questline.

‘Genshin Impact’ To Debut Dragonspine Region In December, Targeting Regularly Scheduled Events

“Genshin Impact” developer miHoYo announced a new in-game area, Dragonspine to debut on Dec. 23. The developer also shared plans on regular roadmap updates.

Currently, players of “Genshin Impact” can visit two nations, Mondstadt and Liyue.

miHoYo announced on the “Genshin Impact” blog that, on Dec. 23, the area to be known as Dragonspine will be revealed as part of Version 1.2 of the game. The developer promises to do its best to release a version update every six weeks, ideally on a Wednesday, with every version coming with its own themed activities.

2nd OIC Summit on Science and Technology will be held in December

ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (APP): The next Science and Technology (S&T) Summit of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) would be held online in early December due to the continuing pandemic situation and organized by the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

This was revealed by the Assistant Secretary General (S&T) of the OIC, Ambassador Askar Mussinov while addressing the Steering Committee for Implementation of the OIC Science and Technology Agenda comprising the Heads of 12 OIC organs in an online meeting organized by COMSTECH.

He stated that the Summit would provide an opportunity for the member States to reaffirm their national commitments towards cooperation in science and technology and for strengthening actions at the science-policy interface.

Electric truck startup Nikola postpones December event

Electric truck startup Nikola said Wednesday it was postponing a December launch event due to Covid-19 as it seeks to reset expectations following recent controversies.

The Arizona-based company said the “Nikola World” event, which nad been billed a potential launch of new vehicles and technology on December 3, would be rescheduled to a time when “we can bring the Nikola community together safely.”

The company, which has been beset by questions over its business viability and its former chairman, also put out a timetable with targets for completing a US factory, finishing vehicle prototypes and commencing production, according to a press release that boosted shares.

Citing recent policy actions by the European Union and California on the hydrogen economy and phasing out gasoline-fueled cars, Nikola is developing environmental trucks, fueling stations and recreational vehicles to meet “the need for green transport solutions.”

EA Play comes to Game Pass PC in December

EA Play is becoming part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on November 10 alongside the launch of Xbox Series X – but that addition only applies on console. On PC, we’re going to have to wait a bit longer for EA Play, as Microsoft has confirmed that it’ll get bundled up with the home computer library in December.

EA Play will be available through all PC flavours of Xbox Game Pass in December. That includes both the basic $9.99 / £7.99 Xbox Game Pass PC subscription, and the $14.99 / £10.99 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bundle, which includes both PC and console Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, and access to xCloud streaming services.

It’s important to note that EA Play is $4.99 and only includes access to the publisher’s vault of older titles, like Titanfall 2, the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, and older Battlefield and EA Sports titles.
