Miles Morales Ultimate Edition’ Won’t Carry PS4 Saves To PS5

KEY POINTS

  • Over the weekend, “Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition” was revealed to include a remaster of 2018’s “Marvel’s Spider-Man” starring Peter Parker
  • Unfortunately, Insomniac Games revealed that saves from that PlayStation 4 title will not be carried over to the next-gen PlayStation 5

For those who have been eagerly anticipating diving back into Manhattan on the PS5 after the news broke on the remastered edition of “Marvel’s Spider-Man” over the weekend, you might want to take a few steps back.

That PlayStation 4 title from Insomniac Games proved to be a massive hit and helped the developer push the boundaries even further with its coming “Spider-Man: Miles Morales” for the PlayStation 5. The 2018 title will, in fact, be available for the

Miles Morales Ultimate Edition’ PS5 Storage Consumption Revealed

KEY POINTS

  • Purchasing and installing both “Demon’s Souls” and “Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition” will immediately result in 20 percent of the PS5’s SSD space
  • Sony has said that more flexibility will be given to players on how they manage console storage for the PS5

PS5 file sizes revealed for Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls

Insomniac Games

When FromSoftware’s Demon’s Souls hit the PlayStation 3 in 2009, it had a file size of 8.24 gigabytes. When the Demon’s Souls remake launches alongside the PlayStation 5 on Nov. 12, it’ll be… somewhat larger. According to a listing on Sony’s PlayStation Direct site, Demon’s Souls 2020 will take up 66GB of PS5 storage space.

It’s one of two game listings that were updated with file sizes on the site over the weekend. There’s also Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition, which also includes 2018’s Spider-Man, at a big ol’ 105GB. With the PS4 Spider-Man weighing in at just over 47GB, that means Miles Morales alone will be around 57GB.
