The first public beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ran this past weekend on PS4, and now developer Treyarch has outlined some of the changes in the pipeline for the next beta. The second beta is a much bigger one, as it’s coming to Xbox One and PC as well, and there will be cross-platform multiplayer support.
Weekend 2 players can expect a series of changes, including the team deathmatch score limit rising from 75 to 100 “for better match pacing,” as well as a change to the Duster Stock attachment that will slow down sliding speed.
The cooldown on the Spy Plane scorestreak has been increased to lessen the experience of having too many of them in the sky at the same time from different players.
There have also been some general changes to improve the experience, such as join-in-progress now preventing players from joining a
Tesla will roll out its FSD feature in a closed beta system test next week
The new autopilot software will be available to a small pool of Tesla owners
The updated FSD software is expected to include many new functionalities
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced via Twitter on Monday that the company’s autopilot self-driving mode would be made available in a small beta test starting next week.
The closed beta-test system, which will be limited to a small pool of “expert and careful drivers,” will roll out next week, Car And Driver reported.
The Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature has undergone a complete reboot and is expected to carry a lot of new functionality. The rewrite also updated the autopilot’s labeling software to enable it to interpret the environment in 4D instead of 2D.
Based on Musk’s recent descriptions, the updated software will build on its current “traffic light
One of the big new features of iOS 14 is Home Screen widgets, which provide information from apps at a glance. The widgets can be pinned to the Home Screen in various spots and sizes, allowing for many different layouts.

Many third-party apps have released widgets, and now evidence that Spotify is developing its own official widget has appeared in a TestFlight beta.
The widget is currently available in small and medium sizes, with the former designed to display the artwork of the last played artist, song, or album, while the latter size shows four of the same content elements.
Unfortunately there are no play, pause, or next song buttons, since Apple only allows widgets to present read-only information, with interactive elements such as scrolling elements or switches not allowed, presumably due to battery life considerations.
Amazon has officially canceled Crucible, its free-to-play multiplayer shooter. It’s the end of a rocky journey for the game, which was first launched in May after years in development before being put back into closed beta in July.
“We very much appreciate the way that our fans have rallied around our efforts, and we’ve loved seeing your responses to the changes we’ve made over the last few months, but ultimately we didn’t see a healthy, sustainable future ahead [for] Crucible,” the Crucible team said in a blog post.
If you’re in the closed beta, you’ll still be able to play the game in some form for a short while. The developers will be hosting a “a final playtest and community celebration” in the next few weeks, according to the blog. Once that’s done, matchmaking will be disabled, but you’ll be able to play custom games (which are expected to

A new map named “Cartel” has been added into the mix. It’s available to play in both combined arms mode, as well as multiplayer. This map takes place in Nicaragua and is said to have some ties to Cold War’s Main villain, Perseus. It features rideable motorcycles, a large airplane hanger, and varying levels of terrain. The map also

Elon Musk said Tuesday that SpaceX’s internet satellite project, Starlink, has now launched enough satellites for its public beta.
Musk tweeted that once the most-recently launched satellites are in position, the company will roll out a “fairly wide public beta” in the northern US and southern Canada.
The goal of Starlink is to put a constellation of satellites into orbit that can beam high-speed internet to remote parts of the Earth.

Elon Musk’s goal of beaming high-speed internet to remote parts of the Earth using orbiting satellites just got a step closer to reality.
SpaceX on Tuesday successfully launched a batch of 60 satellites, bringing the total number of Starlink satellites in orbit to more than 700, per Ars Technica. Musk, SpaceX’s CEO, said this is enough for a public beta.
“Once these satellites reach their target position, we will be able to
Those who play enough of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will get an SMG weapon blueprint when the game drops this November. Players just have to reach level 10 to qualify for the freebie.
The weapon is called Mutual Animosity and if the picture is anything to go by, the blueprint may feature a scope and suppressor. Receiving the weapon is as simple as reaching level 10, which can be done by playing any of the available modes when the beta goes live on October 8 for PlayStation 4 preorder customers.

Leaker: iPhone 12 mini to Start at 64GB, Pro Models at 128GB
We’re likely just a few weeks away from Apple unveiling its iPhone 12 lineup, and last-minute rumors continue to surface. The latest word comes from leaker Jon Prosser, who recently claimed that the so-called “iPhone 12 mini” will start with 64GB of storage, while higher-end iPhone 12 Pro models will apparently
Rumors that the iPhone 12 won’t ship with headphones in the box have been spreading for months, but Apple might have accidentally confirmed the change.
Code in the recent iOS 14.2 beta features altered language that no longer includes the phrase “supplied headphones,” suggesting they are being removed.
Apple is also expected to remove the power adapter from the iPhone 12 box.
Speculation swirling around future iPhone models never ends, but it’s not often that we hear rumors about the other items the come inside the box. 2020 is much different, though, as leakers and analysts have been saying for months that Apple would finally do away with the power adapter and the wired headphones that have traditionally shipped in the box with the iPhone. And now we might have definitive proof of this straight from Apple.
