A longstanding space mystery is almost solved. NASA and the ISS crew have been bothered by an air leak first noticed in late 2019. The leak seemed to pick up the pace recently, sending NASA on a hunt to track it down. A new round of tests has finally narrowed down the location.
NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy and Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner have conducted a series of tests that involved closing hatches around the station so NASA could monitor the air pressure in each section. Their latest efforts led NASA to the main work area of the Zvezda Service Module.

Email aliases in the Mail app don’t appear to be functioning correctly in the iOS 14 update, according to multiple customer complaints on the MacRumors forums and the Apple Support Communities.
Affected customers have set up aliases in the Mail app for subscriptions, account signups, and more, as aliases are useful for concealing a primary email address and limiting unwanted messages. Those aliases are not working as intended as of the iOS 14 update, with the Mail app on iPhone and iPad ignoring the preferred alias that’s selected when sending an email.
There appears to be no way for affected users to successfully control which alias is selected, leading to emails sent from unwanted addresses. A member of the Apple Support Communities describes the problem:
I have an IMAP account (not gmail) with a few aliases. I have been using this for YEARS and it’s always worked fine. Today, I
Pleasant Grove, UT, Sept. 16, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Fortem Technologies Inc., a leader in airspace security and defense for detecting and defeating dangerous drones, announced today advancements to its SkyDome® System software that allow the Fortem DroneHunter® to autonomously shift into one of three various modes to best defeat a threatening drone. DroneHunter, the world’s premier AI-driven interceptor drone, autonomously determines whether to chase, attack or defend against the threatening drone depending on the drone’s size, speed and trajectory. These advancements allow DroneHunter to pursue and safely capture an even wider range of drone threats including faster fixed wing drones.
When in defense mode, the DroneHunter maneuvers in front of the target drone, anticipating its approach. Once in range, DroneHunter fires the NetGun precisely as the target attempts to pass. The defensive mode position also facilitates a radically faster detect-to-capture-time, as the time previously required to get behind the
As I reported over the weekend, PC gamers have been experiencing a couple of significant problems when trying to use some of the high-end features of their new RTX 30 graphics cards with LG’s 2019 and 2020 OLED TVs. Happily, LG has already announced that it believes it can solve both problems, and intends to do so via a firmware update it intends to roll out ‘in the next few weeks’.
For those who missed my earlier story about the problems, they involve LG’s 2019 and 2020 OLEDs only showing a black screen when RTX 30 users try to activate G-Sync variable refresh rate technology on 120Hz outputs, regardless of bit depth or resolution; and LG’s 2020 OLED TVs downsampling RGB/120Hz/4:4:4 feeds to lower quality 4:2:2.
