Apple has announced its iPhone 12 lineup, and as ever, the phones’ camera systems were the focus of much of the company’s presentation. This year, though, there’s more to differentiate each model than ever before. The iPhone range is getting improvements across the board, but Apple appears to be reserving the biggest advances for its biggest phone. The 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max has some serious hardware improvements that set its camera apart from every other iPhone.
Hardware-wise, there doesn’t appear to be much difference between the iPhone 12, 12 mini, and 12 Pro when compared to the 11 and 11 Pro. All of these phones use the same-sized 12 megapixel sensors for wide, ultrawide, and the Pro model’s telephoto cameras, and the shape and size of the camera bump remains essentially the same.
The biggest hardware change is a new seven-element f/1.6 lens for the primary wide
The Apple iPhone line-up for 2020 line-up brings four iPhones to the table, but what doesn’t change at all is the fact that the Pro devices, the Apple iPhone 12 Pro and the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max are really resetting the benchmark in terms of photography performance. It was perhaps to be expected, but what has finally been unveiled is in all likelihood more than what anyone of us may have imagined. And that’s just one aspect, because across the board, the Apple iPhone 12 Pro line is a serious upgrade over the iPhone 11 Pro series. Incidentally, the pricing of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro and the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max remains the same as last year. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro prices start Rs 1,19,900 while
As a professional photographer, I’ve been blown away by how the iPhone 11 Pro has been able to replace my DSLR on photo shoots. But Apple just introduced the iPhone 12 lineup, which includes the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the camera tech is even better this time around. (Here’s everything Apple announced at the October event.) The iPhone 12 Pro Max’s camera updates especially, both in hardware and software, have already got me buzzing about going shooting with this thing. Here’s why I’m so excited.
More zoom with the 2.5x telephoto lens
I love the telephoto zoom lens on the iPhone 11 Pro, but at only 2x, it doesn’t always provide quite the level of zoom I want. I often find myself digitally zooming in further to get the exact composition I want. The iPhone
Apple has officially announced its 2020 flagship iPhones: the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, featuring support for 5G and a new squared-off design that’s reminiscent of the iPhone 4. It’s also the first major redesign for Apple’s full-screen smartphones since it introduced the bezel-less design with the iPhone X in 2017.
Both the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max are bigger than last year’s 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max. The 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, in particular, is notable for taking the crown as Apple’s biggest phone to date. The Pro models features a stainless steel design (instead of the aluminum on the iPhone 12), in four colors: gray, stainless steel, gold, and a new blue.
The new iPhone 12 Pro models will feature Apple’s A14 Bionic chip — first introduced on the refreshed iPad Air last
Although some of the wind was taken out of its sails by way of a leak, the Apple event has delivered the official word on the new line of iPhone 12 devices, which will sport 5G functionality that Apple says will be beneficial for gaming.
Apple started out by showcasing the iPhone 12. It has smooth, flat edges and a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display, with twice as many pixels as iPhone 11. Apple claims this will lead to better-looking photos, sharper text, and higher brightness. The physical size of the device is 11% thinner, 15% smaller, and 16% lighter than the iPhone 11. iPhone 12 is said to offer tougher smartphone glass than any other phone, making it the most durable on the market. Apple heavily touted the phone’s 5G support (more on that below), though it noted that peak speeds of up to 4Gbps will
Earlier today, Chinese leaker “Kang” shared allegedly accurate information for the products set to be announced at the upcoming Apple event on October 13, including details on the full iPhone 12 lineup.
According to the leaker’s information, which was later modified with corrections for product availability timeframes, the 5.4-inch “iPhone 12 Mini” will be available to preorder on November 6 or 7, with a launch date of November 13 or 14.
Meanwhile, the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will allegedly be available to preorder on November 13 or 14, with a launch date of November 20 or 21.
Bloomberg believes that Apple will stagger the iPhone launches in 2020, while DigiTimes has previously suggested the two 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models could come out first in October, with the 6.7 and 5.4-inch models to follow. Leaker Jon Prosser today has also claimedDigiTimes was correct earlier in the year.
Max Polyakov is in Texas, and the aspiring rocket magnate wants to do Texan things. It’s months before the coronavirus pandemic will force even the Lone Star State into a brief, reluctant lockdown, so Polyakov feels plenty comfortable driving a truck to the 5-Way Beer Barn about 50 miles north of downtown Austin. “Look at that! Look at that! Look at that!” he exclaims in a thick Slavic accent as the red storehouse comes into view. “We’ve come at the right time for the Beer Barn!” There, he can pull up, roll down the window, and get suds, harder booze, or a hay bale plopped into his vehicle by a friendly person who starts the conversation with “What y’all need today?”
Drive-through service isn’t what Polyakov is after. Inside the barn, more or less an open warehouse with towers of inventory, the 43-year-old appears to savor all the little things
