Kolkata: IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP), one of the leading technology and business incubators in India under the aegis of IIM Calcutta, has signed a MoU with West Bengal State Council of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology (WB-SCST), to promote entrepreneurship in the areas of Science and Technology in the State. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Bratya Basu, Minister, Science and Technology and Biotechnology Department, Govt of West Bengal and Dr Subhrangshu Sanyal CEO of IIMCIP and Prof. Anju Seth, Director of IIM Calcutta.
The agreement will consist of a series of programs and activities that would help in identifying and nurturing S&T entrepreneurial talent in West Bengal. IIMCIP will act as a ‘Knowledge Partner’ in the West Bengal’s S&T driven Entrepreneurship Development efforts, by supporting various activities that would encourage, train, recognize, reward and nurture budding entrepreneurs of West Bengal,
Kolkata: The state Department of Science and Technology and Bio Technology (DSTBT) is setting up a Technology Development and Adaptation Centre (TDAC) with the objective of building and nurturing an ecosystem to support science and tecnology-led entrepreneurship and promotion of scientific research and innovation.
The state DSTBT has signed an MOU with Indian Institute of Management-run Entrepreneur and Innovation Park at Joka, Kolkata to jointly set up the TDAC.
State minister for Science & Technology & Bio-Technology department Bratya Basu and Additional Chief secretary of the department Anil Verma were present at the MoU signing event on Monday.

Lahore Qalandars have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Science and Technology in a bid to revolutionise “to promote and proliferate the use of the latest technologies in sports”.
The MoU was signed in Islamabad between Fawad Chaudhry, the federal minister of science and technology, and Atif Rana – the CEO of Lahore Qalandars.
According to the MoU, both parties will work to introduce latest technologies to improve the fitness and performance of players.
Among the technologies mentioned in the MoU are the introduction of smart ball technology, smart cricket bat technology, advanced data analysis program, wearable devices for illegal bowling action and scientifically prepared bowling shoes in Pakistan.
Lahore Qalandars, the MoU document says, will introduce the technologies at its High-Performance Center.
