Now that the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 are official, we’ve got three different Pixels to choose from this year. There’s the Pixel 4a, which costs a cool $349, the 4a 5G, which adds some faster networking, a faster processor, and an extra camera for $499, and the Pixel 5, which adds a premium build, wireless charging, a 90Hz display, water resistance, and a bigger battery, for $699.
Between those three, the 4a 5G seems like the middle ground a lot of people are looking for. It has the biggest display of the three at 6.2-inches, the wide-angle camera everyone wanted last year, and a chip that’s perfectly future-proof with 5G connectivity. While it still lacks the extras like wireless charging and a 90Hz display sported on the Pixel 5, a lot of people won’t care about those things, and just want something that works for a good price.
The Google Pixel 5 is very much a Google flagship smartphone. Lacking some of the bells and whistles of more expensive phones by Samsung or Apple, it nonetheless gets the fundamentals spot-on. Its camera is unsurprisingly excellent, it comes with very slick software, a sharp touchscreen, 5G support, and also a much bigger battery (compared to the Pixel 4). It’s also priced at a reasonable $700, making it a direct competitor to last year’s iPhone 11, which also begins at $699.
However, which phone is better: The Pixel 5 or iPhone 11? We pit the two devices against each other in a head-to-head, looking at how they compare in a number of categories. This should tell you all you need to know about the two smartphones.
Alphabet’s GOOGL division Google is firing on all cylinders to expand presence in the world of electronic gadgets, backed by innovative skills and advanced technologies.
Google’s unveiling of the latest Pixel smartphones, Pixel 4a and Pixel 5, has intensified competition in the smartphone space. Both the models have 5G capabilities.
The latest move is in line with the company’s persistent focus on expansion of the portfolio of smartphones that comprises Pixel phones. The latest to join the queue is Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5.
Priced at $499, Pixel 4a comes with ultrawide lens, 6.2-inch Full HD and OLED display, 3.5mm headphone jack and a Snapdragon 765G processor. The Pixel 4a offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with 612MP dual pixel and 16MP ultrawide rear camera.
On the contrary, Pixel 5 comes in a 100% recycled aluminum body and is priced at $699. It offers 8GB
Pixel 5 has many downsides for a phone that should have been Google’s best answer to the iPhone.
The handset features a few compromises that allowed Google to keep the price down, including the mid-range processor and aluminum design.
But the Pixel 5 does have a feature the iPhone lacks, and that’s a top speaker placed under the screen.
The Pixel 5 is somewhat of a disappointment this year, given the various compromises Google made for its flagship phone. The handset features a mid-range processor, a strange plastic and metal rear panel, and doesn’t ship with the Pixel 4’s sophisticated 3D face recognition system. It’s also still fairly expensive at $699, a price point that makes the Pixel 4a 5G a lot more attractive. What makes the Pixel 5 one of the best mid-range Android phones you can buy is the
Google caused quite a stir with its recent launch of the Google Pixel 5 and the surprising Google Pixel 4a 5G. We’ll do a review of these new phones from Google when they become available in Singapore soon.
It may be confusing, but the Google Pixel 4a 5G packed more functions than the 4a other than the 5G connectivity – a more powerful processor, bigger screen, different camera setup and is more expensive. In this article, we’ll cover the Pixel 4a and its direct competitor, the Apple iPhone SE.
The mid-range phone category has a wide selection of affordable phones from many brands, and the Google Pixel 4a and the iPhone SE stand tall among the heap. The Google Pixel 4a is priced at S$599 and the iPhone SE is starting at S$649 – both phones are on the high-end range of budget phones. If you’re looking
Good news, Google fans: The Pixel 5 is officially here, and with this generation, there’s only one standard model to choose from (reshuffled design plans ultimately scrapped the idea of a larger version). In theory, this might make picking out screen protection for your new Pixel easier, but there are still a lot of options available — and it can be difficult to tell which performs the best.
That’s where our guide comes in! Our list of the most reliable screen protectors should make your buying decision a lot easier while keeping that dazzling new screen from getting cracked. So make sure you pick up one of these accessories when you order the Pixel 5.

Google has favored Zagg shields for its Pixel products in the past (here’s one made for the Pixel 4a), and it’s easy to see why: This screen protector
As the competition perfects its next generation technology and makes breakthroughs in material science, it’s not hard to feel like Google’s hardware is a bit behind the rest.
Apple’s LiDAR technology gives us a glimpse into the future of home automation and Samsung has turned stiff smartphones into malleable objects, but Google is now just jumping on the wide-angle camera bandwagon.
MORE FROM FORBESNew Samsung Phone Beats Google Price Before Pixel 5 LaunchBy Jay McGregor
There’s a good argument for keeping things simple and cheap considering most consumers remain resolutely focused on two smartphone features: price and battery life. Also, the flashy extras can come across as frivolous adventures for cash-rich tech companies seeking out some R&D tax breaks.
But Google’s slightly dated approach to hardware doesn’t tell the full story. Its work in AI, which manifests

The Google Pixel 5, which was unveiled during the company’s Launch Night In event on Wednesday, was definitely a surprise—especially if you were paying any attention to the lofty rumors leading up to its debut. Rather than offering a giant screen, the latest Snapdragon processor, and state-of-the-art biometric security, Google’s new handset is surprisingly pedestrian.
While we don’t mind that the Pixel 5 comes in with a lower price, if you start to compare it to the Pixel 4a 5G, the Pixel 5’s position becomes confusing. Google delivered on its promise to bring 5G to its affordable 4a phone back when it launched this summer. While it’s not shipping for another month or so, it’s both $200 cheaper than the Pixel 5 and has a display two-tenths of an inch bigger, with the same processor:
