PS5 Game File Sizes Revealed, And You Could Run Out Of Space Quickly

Start planning out space for your PS5 games on the system’s SSD now, because they are going to take up a lot of room. In fact, it might not be too long before you have to start deleting games if the file sizes Sony has revealed are anything to go by.

On the PlayStation Direct website, which lets you buy PlayStation games and accessories directly from Sony, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls both have their file sizes estimated. In the case of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the standard version of the game takes up 50GB, while the Ultimate Edition, which packs in a copy of Spider-Man: Remastered, takes up 105GB. Demon’s Souls, meanwhile, is a full remake of the 2009 PS3 game and takes up about 66GB.

It was another solid quarter for the FactSet Innovative Technology SPDR ETF (NYSEARCA:XITK), even though both it and the Nasdaq fell quite a bit from the quarterly highs. Still, the XITK ETF tacked on a 16.1% gain in the third quarter versus a gain of “just” 11% for the index. 

Given that the exchange-traded fund surged more than 47% in the second quarter, last quarter’s gains were impressive. Again that handedly outperformed the Nasdaq, which rallied 30.6% in Q2.

Shares of Synnex Corp. (NYSE:SNX) surged more than 7% on Wednesday after another impressive performance in the third quarter. The company announced results on Tuesday after the market closed that beat analysts’ expectations on revenue and earnings.

Shares of the company are now up about 11.77% over the last 30 days and about 115% since bottoming on March 18. This results in a net year-to-date gain of just 8.85%.

Factoring in the company’s third-quarter earnings results, Synnex’s trailing 12-month price-earnings ratio now stands at about 11.19. This prices the stock below the Peter Lynch earnings line of 15. At the current price of about $141.87 per share, Synnex’s stock has the potential to rally toward $190 per share before the end of the year.

For reference, Synnex posted non-GAAP earnings of $4.26 per share in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Amazon Luna servers will run Windows games directly on Nvidia T4 GPUs

Amazon’s newly announced Luna streaming service will run Windows games on a standard Amazon Web Services EC2 G4 instance, the company told Ars Technica in a roundtable discussion. Those server instances sport Nvidia T4 GPUs equipped with 320 Turing Tensor cores and support for Nvidia’s GRID virtualization drivers.

Luna’s server architecture is significantly different from that of Google’s Stadia, which uses Linux-based data servers and Vulkan’s open source graphics APIs. That means extra work for Stadia developers who have to port their existing games to Stadia’s environment, which can sometimes lead to apparent graphical snafus.
